A cash-flow tool from a small company in Greenville
Flo started as a personal tool. Its founder, Josh Malzahn, spent nine years in healthcare technology leadership — running operations, continuous-improvement programs and a P&L — and kept running into the same gap in personal finance apps: they were good at reporting the past and bad at answering the one forward-looking question that matters when you run your life out of a single checking account. If I spend this today, does a bill bounce three weeks from now?
The first version was built for his own account and used daily for months. The ideas that survived that — a single safe-to-spend number measured against a floor, a check that this month's ending balance actually carries next month, bills and paychecks learned once and matched to real bank activity automatically — are the ones in Flo Forecast.
What Flo is
- A forecast for one checking account: bills, income, and the balance line they produce over the next twelve months.
- Read-only. It connects through Plaid, sees balances and transactions, and cannot move money.
- Opinionated about simplicity: one home screen, one number, three horizons.
What Flo isn't
- A net-worth tracker, an investing app, or a bank.
- A source of financial advice. Flo shows you your own numbers; what you do with them is yours.
The company
JustJoshin LLC is a South Carolina limited liability company based in Greenville. Flo Forecast is its first consumer product. The company builds and operates the app, holds the Apple Developer and Plaid agreements, and is the controller of any data the app collects — see the privacy policy for exactly what that means.
